The qualified graduates can be granted bachelor's degree (4 years) in the department of pop music. The aim of the department is to bring up professional pop music talents of good quality who are unique in their styles and competent and competitive in the artistic performance market.

Specialties include pop vocal music, saxophone, guitar, electric bass, jazz drum, and electric piano. Staff are composed of renowned professors, lecturers and scholars (both in TCM and from other musical institutions) with abundant experience in performance and teaching.
