The Department of Music Education, which is composed of 4 teaching and research sections (educational theories, composing skills and theories, piano, and vocal music) as well as a keyboard comprehensive training laboratory and a chorus team, has 5 professors, 7 associate professors, 18 lecturers (among whom 5 are the tutors of masters).
Major subjects: Music Educational Theories and Practice, Piano, Accordion, Vocal Music.
Specialized subjects: Teaching Methodology, Teaching Practice and Probation, Chorus Conducting, Music Composing and Compiling, Vamping, Keyboard Ensemble.
Specialized fundamental subjects: Psychology, Pedagogy, Introduction to Music Education, Music Theories, Solfeggio and Ear Training, Harmonies, Forms, History of Chinese Music, History of European Music, Appreciation of Chinese and Foreign works, Chinese National and Folk music.
Forms of teaching: collective lectures, big-group classes, small-group classes, and tutorials.
